Hey guys, I'm working on my priest (Aneste) and building her up as Holy. Looking around online though I don't know what sites to use/trust for info on talent building, stategy, etc. Elitest jerks had kind of an outdated guide and I didn't know if I should use that or not. PLEASE let me know if any of you have a site you use for Priests or even have a priest that I could look at your talent build for ideas.
Thanks!!!
Much Love
Jen

holy is great in conjunction with your chakra, normally i would say go with noxxic.com but the info it has i dont really use, the aoe heals are spot on, but the single target stuff i dont follow...

still as for talent specs i would say look at the popular builds listed on this page and try to find one that works for you, dont be afraid to respec a few times if you find something else works better for you

http://www.noxxic.com/priest/holy/spec-builds-and-glyphs

defiantly learn the way you want to play it, holy is a very diverse spec not like disc where you c an just spam 3 different spells and be fine lol

i just looked at aliena's guide from 4.0.3 on tankspot some of the information there is useful but the talent specs are pretty meh imo might be worth checking out

http://www.tankspot.com/showthread.php?56757-Cata-Holy-Priest-Guide-(4.0.3)

remember to learn for yourself, i got alot of good information from online and from livewell and bloodyheals but in the end i only learned what worked for me by trying and failing a few times

The hardest thing I've learned about priest healing is that there really is no "right" way. There's a correct spec, and gear, and glyphs, but when it comes to rotation, there really isn't one. Just go do random dungeons; if they boot you, who cares - it's not like you'll ever see those random people again, lol. But don't be afraid of doing it wrong - as long as no one's dying, you're doing it right, lol. Mana management was the hardest thing for me to learn, but my priest was my first caster toon after rolling a lot of melee.

Noxxic, as roofiuz said, is great, and anything Tankspot puts out is solid advice.

Are you using any addons? If you're not using a heals addon yet, let me suggest VuhDo. It's complicated looking, but easy to figure out if you just play with it. Even though VuhDo has decursing built into it, I also use Decursive just to simplify the dispel/cure disease process.

Good luck - if you ever have questions in game, my priest's name is Codéx. Feel free to send me a tell or a mail on either that toon or my main, Cydnee. :D

I would suggest getting a spec from one of our core raid healers that are Holy spec. They can probably help you the most, with a rotation too if you ask nice enough ;P but I can probably help you myself when 4.3 comes out, I've been on the ptr a lot and I did a Holy Priest just for teh lulz.

Nice, thanks gray :) I switched her over to Disc actually though, I was having too many issues going oom as holy. From what I've read, its supposedly better once I'm a higher level and can put talent points in the other trees to help with mana if I do holy, so I may try again once I get her up around lvl 70 or 80. She's at 40 now, with 4 boa's on so hopefully it won't take long =)
